Control software - Systems and Software

The eCNC control software is compatible with MM1, MM3, MM5 and MM7 CNC products currently on the market. The new control uses the Windows 2000 operating system and the MachineMate Real Time kernel. The eCNC uses a standard Web browser for the CNC MM1, networking and Internet connections. All of the company's standard MM1 screens have been converted to Web browser screens using HTML frames and Java applets for the eCNC. The Web browser is said to make the MM1 screens more flexible and easier to develop and make it easier to make additions or changes. Designers who have developed Web screen pages can develop CNC MM1 screens. The current controls use Visual C++ or the company's Visualizer software for screen development. The Visualizer software can also be used for screen development on the eCNC.

The built-in Internet connection and Web browser for the MM1 allows remote access capability. Remote access can be used to report, download, upload or troubleshoot the machine tool.

The MM1 consists of a color TFT flat screen and keyboard that can be remote from the stainless steel IPC/CNC shell. The slim line design comes in a vertical look that is bolted in place and is compatible with other CNCs. The eCNC also comes in the horizontal look of the current MM1, MM3, MM5 and MM7 CNCs.
